Aesthetic Dentistry
Dental aesthetics includes all techniques that help achieve beautiful teeth and a great smile. Several issues can affect our teeth and the harmony of our smile, such as the shape of certain teeth, discoloration, fractures, or cavities... To address all of these concerns, our Dental Center offers multiple solutions depending on your specific needs.
Dental Veneers
A dental veneer is a type of thin shell (or cover), most commonly made of ceramic. Its purpose is to cover the visible part of your tooth in order to correct or hide imperfections in your smile, such as color or alignment issues. Veneers are only useful for front teeth and are not typically considered for molars, as the outer surface of those teeth is not visible when you smile.
Teeth Whitening
Over time, the natural shade of your teeth may change and lose its brightness. A teeth whitening treatment can give you a sparkling white smile once again. To begin, the dentist will perform a full oral health assessment. If there are any conditions such as cavities, gum disease, or periodontal disease, these may prevent you from undergoing a whitening treatment. Once a proper diagnosis is made, the treatment can begin. There are several methods for performing teeth whitening.
The concept is simple: transform the shade of the enamel and dentin using a whitening agent based on hydrogen peroxide. Depending on the natural color of your teeth, the treatment may be more or less lengthy—yellow teeth are easier to whiten than gray ones.
Dental Crowns
A dental crown is a cap that the dentist places over a tooth, functioning like a “hat” on top of the tooth. This crown restores the tooth’s natural shape, size, and function. The goal of a crown is to repair a severely damaged tooth or to improve its appearance when the tooth is in poor condition or position.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry encompasses all dental techniques aimed at enhancing, repairing, or restoring the natural beauty of your teeth. It uses a composite resin available in various shades to achieve the best aesthetic result, while preserving the health and functionality of your teeth.
